Revised Tech Demo 2

This new techdemo fixes the load timing issues that were causing display problems in Firefox, IE and Opera.   Basically, the way those browsers handle the loading of HTML5 Canvases and images differed in a way that when it went to initially draw the layers, the layers images were blank.   I have a full mandatory preload of images now so that works much better.

The demo is here.

Composite C1 Package Server

I've created a Composite C1 Package Server that you can use to download extension packages I've created including the package that runs this Blog.   There will be many more coming in the next few weeks so I'd be sure to add it to your Package Source list and watch this space.

WTF is Ajaws?

Asynchronous Javascript and Web Sockets.   Hey, we all love Ajax but to every thing turn, turn and so on.

The goal of using Ajaws is to expand the libraries we all know and love to include the use of Websockets for communications, not just XML web requests.

What is Hurricane Game Engine?

Hurricane Game Engine is an experimental HTML5 Canvas based game engine that is currently in the research and developement stage.   It seeks to deliver a fully functional set of tools for developers to design, build and manage an online, browser-based game.   In addition to the nuts and bolts required to render graphics to an HTML 5 Canvas, it will provide a backend server hosted on IIS that allows for game persistence, asset management and data storage.
